A calabash pipe is instantly recognizable. Both Sherlock Holmes and likely your Great Grandpa puffed on those bad boys all day long. Maybe your Great Grandpa IS Sherlock Holmes.
Regardless, genuine calabash pipes became very iconic (and very expensive), crafted in part using the eponymous calabash gourd.
